Making up for last week!

Thought I'd post a few more to make up for the last couple of weeks of slacking....Nana always gets after me! She got a special package in the mail today full of Halloween treats form the Reynolds family!!! She was beyond excited and had to open everything up! Less than 2 months now!!!! (She gets her strangeness from her daddy?!)

Our Little Monkey

Miss Pants was appropriately a monkey this year for Halloween. She had a great time at Aunties playing Halloween games! She was pretty pooped tonight and is in bed already and she gets to be a monkey again tomorrow at school. Thank you Nana for the great handiwork!!

We've been bitten by the busy bug apparently. Trying to find our path through the month. As of Saturday Daddy will be gone for most of the days of November. We will miss him but he loves to fly so we will survive!! We had a nice but short weekend at Nana's last weekend and saw some special family members from Packer country! Nana-great turned 85 so we all visited her on her big day. As you can see Nana and her girl were busy playing Parcheesi and doing art. On Sunday in the snow/rain/mess outside Pants helped me make muffins and we hung out inside where we belonged! She also had a few Halloween Oreos...... and in the first picture she is talking to Nana who is at home recooperating.

California Here we Come!!!

Thought I'd post the latest from this week. Rainy and cold weather but we are heading to Nana's this weekend to see family. Daddy just booked his super cheap ticket to come out to California with Pants and I. Originally it was just going to be us girls but We found a really good deal so he will be out there for a portion of the time with us. Look out Reynolds family!!

We are also remembering a very special little boy today that passed away 2 years ago. He was truly a gift form God and is an angel looking over his family and friends now. Our thought and prayers go out to all those in his family as they reflect today.

Can you believe 2008 is nearly over? What a whirlwind it's been on this end of the spectrum. Only a couple months and it will be Christmas and then in comes 2009! I hope everyone is looking foward to a wonderful holiday season!

Oops.....long time no blog.

Sorry for the delay in posting. We've been busy and daddy has been gone so by the time I get little missy to bed at night I crash. Nana came to visit last weekend and as you can see by the pics....this is what happens when I leave them alone!! They love to do art and go for nature walks and last weekend was beautiful weather to do that in. This weekend we are trading and traveling to Nana's to see family and celebrate Nana-Great's 85th birthday!

Miss Pants is doing wonderful and has mastered the holiday song "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" thanks to the CD's Nana bought her. I am really excited for Christmas this year because she is at such a great age and is understanding it all and wants a Christmas tree. I went with Auntie last weekend and got 90% of my Christmas shopping done too!!! YEAH!

Swim time!

No pics tonight, we have had a crazy week so far. Pants did awesome at swimming tonight. She loves her teacher and is getting very brave in the water! She passed out at 8:00 tonight and is snoring. Daddy is gone until Sunday with a quick stop in on Friday to get clean clothes and re-pack so Nana is saving me this weekend! She is coming up on Thursday night and I figured I'd let Pants stay home from school on Friday and they can wear each other out with art, puzzles, etc. I can hardly believe the cold weather but I guess it's that time of year.....only a little over 2 months and we'll be in sunny California!

Box from California...

Lucky Miss Pants (and mommy) got a wonderful box of surprises on Friday I forgot to post so I'll do that now. No action shots because we were packing daddy up to leave but she was totally excited to see that it had her name on it. She got two new puppies and really cool giant coloring books! She concentrates so hard when she is coloring..... She named her pound puppy "Monkey" appropriately. Mommy was very excited to get her new purse too!!!! The best part is that we had been out shopping a month or so ago and that's the exact one I saw and really liked!! Thank you Reynolds Family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Speaking of monkeys, Auntie and Pants' best buddies brought her a monkey pillow and blanket today too . She is one lucky lady!! FYI--she has ALL of her new items in bed with her as I write this........

Apple Picking!

Miss Pants had a busy Saturday. It started out with a trip to the Dr. to get her flu shot. She did really well considering.....she only whined a little bit but was a champ about it. She even gave the nurse who poked her a high five so it must not have been too bad. We followed that up with a trip to a beautiful apple orchard/pumpkin patch/petting zoo/pony rides place south of town with Auntie and her two bestest buddies. They all had a great time picking apples, petting the animals and playing on the playground. She fell asleep in the car on the way home and only slept a little while so we came home and rested more and then they all came over to our house for lasagna and an ice cream treat The Daddies are hunting this weekend so we are all alone!! It's rare that daddy is even home for a full weekend, let alone having the opportunity to go hunting, which he is always wanting to do so we are happy he got to have some "guy time." No plans for tomorrow. Resting and getting ready for another week! This time next weekend Miss Pants will be just as pooped because Nana is coming to visit!!!!!!

Painted her Punkin!

Pants had fun again today at Auntie's and got to paint her pumpkin. She was talking to Nana on the phone and had to sit by it so we could send her the pic! You can sort of see the little one behind her....she had to sit right in front of it! Such a ham. We are all super duper glad it's Friday tomorrow and are not really looking to getting her flu shot on Saturday!

Hard day at play!

Here's what happens when you play hard at Aunties! I came to pick Pants up and her pants and socks looked like this after jumping on the trampoline! She was totally pooped out and crabby (that's the REAL crabby face) as you can also tell......but she had fun!

Too funny not to share....

Here she is at her finest. Miss Pants a mess. After we ate dinner on Monday, Daddy shared his cookie with her and this is what happened. Such a beautiful face! It's really funny because she normally doesn't eat a lot of chocolate/sweets except her treats at Aunties (dum-dum sucker, etc.) and her cakes from Uncle Nate! So apparently when she's got the treat she's all into it!

Pants did wonderful at swimming tonight although after her fits at Aunties today I told her we should probably stay home. She has progressed so much more this session than any other and that is a good sign I hope. She's getting more daring kicking on her own without my help and loves to jump in and even lets me put her ears under while she's on her back. I guarantee you that I was not that comfortable in a pool at her age!! ( That was also EONS ago)

I can hardly believe it's nearly the middle of October. I have my Christmas shopping list made and am starting to think about Xmas cards, etc. Daddy is going to be working/flying everyday but 3 in November so Pants and I are going ALL OUT for Christmas this year decorating. Real tree and all. We will even put up my grandma's Christmas village!!!! He's probably pass out when he comes home and it looks like National Lampoons Christmas Vacation :) (shh.... don't tell him!)

A day at Afton Apple with our Little Punkin!

Miss Pants had quite a busy day. We were lucky the rain held off the whole time we were at the apple orchard and pumpkin patch and she is pooped out! We rode on the hay-ride/tractor, picked some pumpkins, picked some apples, ate an apple donut and met Santa and Mrs. Clause!!!!! She wasn't too sure about Santa but we've been talking about him at home this week to prepare her for Christmas and he sang her new favorite song "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" especially to her so she figured it was OK to give him a hug!

Staller.

Miss Pants on the Loose is by far the best staller ever born. She will ding around in the tubby, ask for "just one more" story or song and always needs something at bedtime be it an extra blanket, etc. This girl is a pro! Ask Nana she'll tell you! She had a good day at Aunties today and I think she is ready for the weekend. She was a bit fussy tonight but I think it's just the winding down of the week kicking in. After school tomorrow she'll crash for a good nap....I hope!
